The following photos highlight the move of our new GE 65 ton switcher from Cargill near Cincinnati Ohio, to Connersville Indiana. Even though this locomotive was donated to our railroad we still had to pay the bill for moving it to Connersville, of which was made possible through the proceeds from our A Day Out With Thomas TM events. A special thanks to Cargill for their donation of this fine locomotive.

Final checks before departing for Connersville
Enroute to Connersville. The team had to follow a specific route that allowed for the long flatbed trailers and the height of the locomotive.
Assembly in Connersville on WVRR tracks. The unloading area is located next to the B&O Bridge north of downtown.
The top half of the locomotive is being lowered onto its trucks. Trucks is the railroad term for the wheelset structure under a locomotive. The truck includes, wheels, axles, type of bearings (friction or roller), brake assemblies, and other hardware.
