Visit Historic Metamora, Indiana without worrying about parking!! This train departs from our Connersville depot at 12:01 pm on every Saturday and Sunday between May 1 and October 31. Platted in 1838, Metamora is a restored canal town. Visit the working grist mill, restored canal and lock, replica horse drawn canal boat, historic covered aqueduct, shops and restaurants during the 2 hour layover. Trains consisting of vintage equipment departs Connersville's Grand Central Station at 12:01 pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and major holidays, May through October. The Valley Flyer departs Metamora for the return to Connersville at 3:30 pm, arriving at the Connersville Station at 5:00 pm.

The round trip fares for this train are $25 for adult and $15 for children, one way fares are $16 for adults and $9 for children. Caboose tickets are available for $28 adult and $17 child.

Please note that the Metamora Excursions will not operate June 16, 17, 18 & 23, 24, 25, 2017 due to a special event.

The Train to Dinner departs Connersville Station at 6 p.m. on the first and third Fridays running from July through October, and travels to the Laurel Hotel. The cost is $32 per adult, $17 for children (special child's menu) and includes the round trip train ride, the meal, tax and tip. Reservations Required. Wild West-themed Twilight Limited Train to Dinner excursion departing from Connersville Indiana's Grand Central Station at 6pm. Come and see Bandits, Marshals, Robber Barons, Fancy and some Not So Fancy Women as you roll through the scenic countryside. The Wild West entertainment is being provided by the Circle D Rangers. Fares are $39 per person (sorry no child fares available due limited capacity) and include the round trip train ride, the meal, tax and tip. Train operates rain or shine. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Tickets are on sale online or by calling the Whitewater Valley Railroad's Grand Central Station at (765) 825-2054.

Travel through time on The Statesman as you spend the day with the 26th President of the United States, Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt on a relaxing train excursion through the Whitewater Valley. Mr. Roosevelt will be riding along as you travel along the remnants of the Whitewater Canal to the historic town of Metamora. Ask the 26th president questions and have your photos taken to preserve the memories. Listen to Mr. Roosevelt as he delivers a memorable speech before the train departs Metamora for the return to Connersville.

This special excursion runs every Thursday and Friday during October, departing the Connersville station at 10:00 am. The Railroad reserves the right to change train equipment, schedules and/or fares without advance notice. The railroad cannot be responsible for unscheduled delays. The Connersville Station is handicap accessible. Our trips are not currently handicap accessible. We hope to fix this in the future. Most times if someone is not restricted to a chair we can accommodate them on our cars. There are between 4 to six steps to climb to board the cars. The 1920's & 1930's passenger cars used on our excursions were constructed before disability accessibility laws were adopted. We will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate differently abled passengers who desire to ride one of our trips. Platforms, boarding areas, stairs, step-stools, seating, and especially doorways, passageways and aisles may not accommodate all passengers. Historic and antiquated rail passenger equipment, like that used on our excursions, is exempt from ADA regulations under U.S. Code: Title 42: Section 12184.
